Concerts On The Commons - Live Music In Norris, Tennessee

The Lonesome Coyotes will be appearing this Friday, July 30th.

One of the Knoxville area's best known and longest performing groups will headline this week's Concert On The Commons. The Lonesome Coyotes, with popular vocalists Maggie Longmire and Steve Horton, have been together since the early 1980's and continue to draw crowds at their many appearances throughout East Tennessee.

Again this summer, the city of Norris will be presenting its outdoor music series on the shady, spacious lawn of the Town Commons. Last year's Concerts on the Commons proved to be an extremely popular Friday evening activity, and each was well attended by families from Norris and surrounding communities.

Expanding to a schedule of ten performances this year, the Concerts kick off on Friday, June 4^th and continue each Friday through August 6th, with the exception of the Norris Day festivities on July 3rd, when the concert will be held that Saturday evening just prior to the annual fireworks display.

Again this year, performances will include an eclectic mix of musical styles...everything from blues and big band standards to western swing and 1920's jazz. Artists include such notable names as Kate Campbell, Christabel & the Jons and The Lonesome Coyotes. Also back by popular request are a few artists from last year's concerts...yes, The Little Big Band is one of those coming back.
